Please make sure that once you register, you're 100% certain about participating on the day of the event.

We wouldn't want to disappoint or confuse visitors by having them show up at a participating home location only to find nothing there and then be discouraged from going to the other home locations on our map. This will make the day fun and also run smoothly for everyone! If you find you need to cancel participation you should do so at least 6 days in advance by email, so that we can remove you from the map.

The event registration fee is non-refundable.

TIPS & SUGGESTIONS:

  • Official event hours 1pm - 5pm are mandatory for participation, however feel free to set up much earlier and go on until sunset if you feel like it!

  • Keep small bills such as $1 & $5 notes handy for change

  • Offer visitors Venmo or PayPal for payment, however please note that they both report earnings over $600 to the IRS as Misc Income

  • Try to have price stickers for your items, these are available on Amazon or at a local 99-cent store for example and are great for anything from 50 cents up to much larger denominations

  • Partner with your neighbor, friends or family to have multiple people on hand to help with the sale - and so that you can take breaks and work in shifts

  • Invite friends and family to bring stuff from their farther away residences to your sale

  • Please do not let strangers inside of your home, keep all sale items outside and safe guard entry into your home

  • Keep valuable or fragile sale items in view and safe from easy access

  • It may be a very warm and sunny afternoon, select a location on your property that has some partial to full shade

  • Keep drinking water on hand

  • Save grocery bags, shipping cartons and envelopes handy for customers carrying away small or fragile items

  • Use folding tables, cardboard or old sheets spread out on the floor for placing items on

  • We will email participants a printable flyer next week, feel free to post it on and around your street corners

  • If you're not participating this year, do visit your neighbors who are!
